Club Memberships and Mountain Bike Australia (MTBA) LicensesUpdated 15-09-2008The following text describes the 3 options you have for joining the Warrnambool MTB Club. Descriptions of what the membership fees and MTBA license fees are used for is also included. 2. Introductory Senior Club Membership The club has introduced a start up club membership for new members. No matter which membership option you choose, the senior club membership fee will be discounted from $20 to $5 if you have never been a member of the Warrnambool MTB Club. We have implemented this initiative to encourage new members to the club, especially those that might perceive the club membership and MTBA license fees to be excessive. Hopefully once you have joined the club, you will understand and enjoy the fantastic value that a full club membership offers. If you would like to support the club, but you're not interested in riding, then you can join as an associate member.

If you would like to participate in social and training rides and you're not interested in racing competitively, then this is the option for you.

Note: If you decide to compete after joining, then you can either purchase a day license for $15 or upgrade by paying the difference to a Competitive Membership.
Note: MTBA has entered into an agreement with Cycling Australia and BMX Australia to give CA and BMX licence holders with at least 3 months remaining on their license the opportunity to purchase a discounted MTBA Value Add license for $36. 5. So What Does All The Money Get Used For? 1. Club membership fees are used to cover the annual costs of club affiliation with MTBA ($110), incorporation fee ($35) and club website fees. In addition to the annual costs, the club would like to purchase new equipment such as improved event communications, a bike trailer, additional first aid equipment, a sun shelter and additional event marking equipment (bunting, arrows, stakes, etc). Where possible, the club will make efforts to apply for council and government grants to cover the cost of new equipment. The club has also subsidised social occasions where possible.
